Industrial Engineer
At Compal Electronics, we are building world-class manufacturing operations to support next-generation server and AI technologies. As an Industrial Engineer, you will drive production efficiency, optimize processes, and support scalable manufacturing in our Georgetown, TX or Taylor, TX facility.
This role focuses on line design, labor optimization, ergonomics, and throughput improvement. We are seeking candidates with 4+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing environments who are passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize factory layouts, production lines, and material flow to maximize efficiency
- Identify bottlenecks, analyze constraints, and implement data-driven improvements
- Develop ergonomic solutions including workstations, racks, and material handling systems to enhance safety and productivity
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by estimating headcount, takt time, floor space, and equipment requirements
- Drive improvements in UPH (Units Per Hour) and overall labor productivity
- Develop and maintain labor standards using MOST, MTM, or similar time-study methodologies
- Perform line balancing, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, and Automation teams to align on operational goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline
- 4+ years of experience in industrial engineering within a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and time-study methodologies
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for layout and line design
- Hands-on experience with Lean tools such as Kanban, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping
- Background in ergonomic analysis and workstation design
