Industrial Engineer - Phantom Works Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works Division is seeking an Associate / Experienced Industrial Engineer to join the Advanced Materials Fabrication team in Mesa, Arizona. Position Overview: The Industrial Engineer will be a part of the high-performing Integrated Product Team (IPT) supporting Program Development / Prototyping and Advanced Materials Fabrication. As an Industrial Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design, stabilize, improve, and transform production systems and processes to achieve world class operational excellence for some of the world’s most sophisticated aircraft and systems. This role will join a team of multi-disciplined Engineers, that take pride in developing, integrating, testing and delivering innovative solutions for our Phantom Works Division. Position Responsibilities: Applies industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements. Develops plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows. Evaluates new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations. Designs, maintains, and optimizes the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel. Conducts work flow design and analysis. Develops models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders and customers. Research, designs, develops, improves, and implements processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization. Develops and implements plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods. Creates product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices. Prepares operations plans, includes work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met. Supports execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices. Provides production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support of moderate complexity. Reconciles compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. This position requires ability to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement 1+ years of experience in engineering Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience): Relevant experience within a high rate Fabrication/Production Environment Relevant experience preparing operations plans, work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met. Typical Education/Experience: Level 2 Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 3 Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experie
