Job Description

Our client is looking for a motivated and innovative Industrial Engineer to focus on process optimization within their operations. This role is based in Jacksonville, Florida, US , and offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a blend of on-site collaboration and remote work flexibility. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing current manufacturing and operational processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing data-driven solutions to improve productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will utilize principles of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical process control to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational performance. This position requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities include:

Analyzing existing production and operational processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Designing and implementing process improvements using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Developing and utilizing statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor and control process variability. Conducting time and motion studies to optimize workflow and resource utilization. Developing and maintaining process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs). Collaborating with operations, quality assurance, and management teams to implement and sustain process changes. Evaluating new technologies and equipment for potential integration into existing processes. Preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project progress. Training personnel on new processes and methodologies. Measuring and reporting on the impact of implemented improvements.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience (3-5 years) in industrial engineering, process improvement, or a similar role is required. Certification in Lean or Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) is highly desirable. Proficiency in simulation software, statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab), and CAD software is a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills are essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are needed to effectively collaborate with diverse teams. Familiarity with supply chain and logistics principles is beneficial.
