DescriptionThe Industrial Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing operational processes and flows across warehouse and fulfillment operations. The Industrial Engineer will partner with operations leadership to 1) identify improvement opportunities, implement data-driven solutions; 2) support continuous improvement initiatives across inbound, storage, pick/pack, returns, value added services, and outbound shipping; and 3) assist with new building design and setup and adapting newly acquired organizations into our standard operations.**Essential Job Functions**• Analyze warehouse workflows including receiving, putaway, picking, packing, kitting, and shipping.• Develop and maintain engineered labor standards for warehouse operations.• Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.• Develop data/reporting to track key operational KPIs including units per labor hour, order cycle time, pick accuracy, dock-to-stock time, and throughput.• Design warehouse layouts to optimize slotting, travel paths, and storage density• Support facility expansions, new client launches, and new site startups• Perform capacity modeling for peak and growth scenarios• Partner with IT and operations teams to optimize WMS configurations• Support evaluation and implementation of automation technologies such as conveyor systems, pick/put to light, sortation, warehouse robotics• Assist with systems testing and operational readiness for new technologies• Develop labor models for forecasting staffing needs based on order volume• Support seasonal and peak capacity planning• Work with operations teams to improve labor allocation and productivity• Lead operational improvement projects from concept through implementation• Support onboarding of new clients by designing efficient fulfillment workflows• Provide ROI analysis for operational improvement investments## Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations engineering, supply chain, or related field.* 3-7 years of experience in industrial engineering or process improvement.* Experience in warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment operations.* Key Competencies and Technical Skills**• Process design and optimization• Data-driven decision making• Strong cross-functional communication• Continuous improvement mindset• Advanced Excel and data analysis• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)• Simulation or modeling tools**Leadership Competencies****Business Acumen** •Understands how warehouse and fulfillment operations impact overall business performance, cost structure, and client service levels. • Uses operational and financial data to recommend improvements that support company objectives, operational efficiency, and scalable growth.**Decision Quality** • Makes sound, timely decisions based on operational data, engineering analysis, and business priorities. • Process Management** • Designs, documents, and improves operational workflows to support efficiency, standardization, and scalability across fulfillment operations. • Drive for Results** • Takes ownership of process improvement initiatives and drives projects through successful implementation. • Focuses on measurable outcomes such as improved productivity, reduced operational costs, increased throughput, and enhanced service performance.**Working Conditions*****According to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), employees must be able to perform the “essential job functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.****Individuals may perform other duties as assigned including work in other areas and/or facilities.*
