The Industrialization Manager leads customers NorthAmerica’s process / manufacturing engineering department, including allassociated industrialization projects. The individual should be technicallyminded with a true passion for manufacturing and strategic vision ofindustrialization processes. This person should have significant “hands‑on”experience in the design and manufacture of automotive systems and componentsin a global organization. Must be technologically current, push to excel, andstrive for continuous improvement. Responsibilities include building qualityinto manufacturing processes, defining the strategic vision and then executingthe implementation of new products, processes, and equipment. Lead efforts tocontinuously improve manufacturing processes and productivity. The individualmust be able to address key issues and challenges, take ownership of theindustrialization areas, exhibit engineering and project leadership, and work wellin a cross functional team environment.
Create and then lead the implementation of the industrialization strategy for end customer.
Build a team of process / manufacturing engineers striving to achieve world class engineering / equipment performanceand best practice manufacturing processes.
Provide a framework for the team tomeet quality, productivity, project, and financial goals.
Lead and drive data driven processimprovements and problem solving.
Make and execute difficult decisionsbased on the best available data.
Develop partnerships with equipmentsuppliers to support new product and process introductions with cost effective,efficient, and quality focused processes that maximize payback of financialcapital and meet all customer requirements.
Work closely with Sales andApplications Engineering to develop customer proposals and presentations
Minimum of 10 years leadingdiverse process and/or manufacturing engineering teams and projects.
Bachelor’s degree in anengineering field; Proven ability to meet orexceed customer expectations concerning machining, assembly, and/ortesting processes in an automotive tier 1 environment.
Technical ability to manageand lead problem analyses and resolutions for often complex issues.
Strong project managementskills with a proven track record for successful implementations on time.
Knowledge and experiencewith complex drawings and CAD/CAM.
Experience building asuccessful Project Management system
Problem-solver with strong customer/executiverelationship management abilities
