The Industrialization and Automation Engineer - Electronics will define, develop and implement automated manufacturing process to ensure cost-effective, efficient and reliable PCBA production. The individual will extend support for Industry 4.0 including machine connectivity, traceability, OEE and preventive/ predictive maintenance etc.

The role bridges product design and manufacturing by leading process industrialization, equipment mechanical design and selection, automation integration, and continuous improvement to improve quality, productivity, and scalability while meeting safety and business requirements.

## What you’ll do:

  • Partner with multi-functional teams to evaluate automation opportunities within organization. Drive automation strategy, and equipment evaluation ensuring alignment with manufacturing and EATON quality and safety standards
  • Prepare RFQs, work with suppliers to define, develop, and implement automation solutions for PCBA manufacturing. Identify, evaluate, and document manufacturing processes, assembly technologies, and emerging automation solutions to improve operational efficiency. Design internal mechanical solutions for automation
  • Support integration of shopfloor systems with MES / ERP for traceability, data collection, and production reporting
  • Drive OPEX and CAPEX optimization, including cost comparison of manual vs automated solutions and ROI analysis
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth product and process ramp‑up
  • Coordinate process flow design, line balancing, cycle time analysis, and capacity planning to meet production volume and takt targets
  • Ensure automation systems comply with EATON safety standards (MESH8.0, CE, Cybersecurity,..), ergonomics, and regulatory requirements

## Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of Electronics/Electrical and/or Industrial/Mechanical Engineering
  • 7+ years experience as a process or industrial engineer in EMS sector

## Skills:

  • Experience with automation and digitization of manufacturing processes
  • Experience in new project implementation and transfer within the manufacturing
  • Developing and deploying automation solutions
  • Integrating robotics into production processes for PCBA manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of electronic boards design
  • Working knowledge of ERP system SAP
  • Experience with hig mix - low volume production
  • Strong process mindset with Lean manufacturing experience, aiming to achieve excellence
  • Result and solution-oriented, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fast and effective at dealing with difficult situations
  • A flexible person with a can-do attitude who sees opportunities where others see risks
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization
  • Good command of the English language
