Infra Engineer (AWS, Linux)

My client is a fast-growing high-frequency trading firm specializing in automated market-making strategies. They strive to be at the bleeding edge of low-latency execution, financial modelling, and risk management. With a focus on world-class infrastructure to support their strategies, they are now looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to help improve their computing and data infrastructure for the next stage of growth.

Role Overview

We are seeking a self-motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join the team. You will play a key role in designing and managing the infrastructure that supports rapid storage and analysis of large datasets, while ensuring high availability across production trading systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Design: Design infrastructure to support rapid storage and analysis of large amounts of data.
• Cloud Management: Manage AWS cloud compute and data infrastructure to ensure high availability.
• Production Monitoring: Monitor production trading infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Software Infrastructure: Manage software infrastructure on a day-to-day basis.
• Automation: Automate systems and administration tasks to improve efficiency.
• Network Management: Manage network infrastructure to support low-latency trading operations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Education: Degree or diploma in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Location: Already based in Hong Kong.
• Experience: 2+ years of industry experience.
• Linux: Must have experience managing Linux systems.
• AWS: Must have experience managing AWS computing and data systems.
• Automation: Ability to automate tasks on Linux.
• Self-Motivation: Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Nice-to-Have:

• AWS and other cloud certifications.
• Linux system certification and experience.
