In UAE, Siemens Mobility is delivering the signaling, telecom, and power supply systems for the 303 km Abu Dhabi-Sohar railway, which marks the first cross-country railway network in the Middle East, connecting the UAE and Oman.

Today, we are recruiting for a Installation Engineer to join our team in UAE/Oman. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What Are My Responsibilities?

  • Supervise and coordinate installation works for Signalling, Asset Protection System (APS), and OEICS (SCADA) systems in accordance with Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings, technical specifications, and project standards.
  • Prepare, review, and implement method statements, risk assessments, and daily work plans to ensure safe and efficient execution.
  • Verify installation quality and compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), approved designs, and contractual requirements.
  • Actively participate in internal and external construction progress meetings, providing technical input and execution status updates.
  • Coordinate closely with civil contractors, interface packages, and consortium partners to manage access, interfaces, and activity sequencing.
  • Prepare construction readiness documentation and participate in Construction Readiness Reviews (CRR).
  • Manage worksite readiness, including temporary facilities, utilities, and site preparation activities.
  • Oversee multiple Installation Supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors, assigning tasks and monitoring execution progress.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and technical briefings, ensuring workforce awareness of technical requirements and safety obligations.
  • Monitor material availability, handling, storage, and traceability to support uninterrupted installation progress.
  • Ensure availability and calibration of tools, testing instruments, and installation equipment.
  • Produce daily site reports and maintain accurate installation records and documentation.
  • Support the preparation of as-built documentation and Testing & Commissioning (T&C) readiness packages.
  • Ensure all installed systems are complete, compliant, and ready for Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and System Integration Tests (SIT).
  • Support the rectification of punch list items identified during testing and inspections.

What Are My Qualifications?

  • Engineering degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Railway Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in system installation on railway or large infrastructure projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Signalling, APS, and OEICS (SCADA) systems.
  • Proven ability to lead supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors effectively.
  • Good knowledge of HSE requirements, installation standards, and quality procedures.
