Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer (4+ years) to join our team on a contract basis. You'll work across municipal water/wastewater, power generation, industrial automation, and microgrid/CHP systems — playing a key role in the design, installation, and commissioning of complex control systems.

What you'll do

  • Design and evaluate plant control systems including DCS and PLC platforms; produce P&IDs, I/O lists, instrument data sheets, logic diagrams, and procurement specifications
  • Prepare design computations, technical documentation, and cost estimates; direct designers and technicians in converting engineering designs into working drawings
  • Support construction administration and commissioning activities, coordinating closely with site engineering teams
  • Engage directly with clients — attending project meetings, responding to technical inquiries, and ensuring deliverables meet scope and schedule

What we're looking for

  • BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (BSEE preferred); FE exam passed
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in I&C engineering, including design, analysis, and construction administration
  • PE license preferred (or ability to obtain); experience with multi-disciplinary project collaboration required
