Key Responsibilities

  • Instrumentation Design and Development:
  • Design, develop, and test instrumentation and control systems for industrial processes.
  • Specify and select components such as controllers, transmitters, sensors, and actuators to ensure optimal performance.
  • Procurement Oversight:
  • Lead the procurement process for instrumentation and control components, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to evaluate options and negotiate terms.
  • Control System Implementation:
  • Create detailed schematics, diagrams, and layouts using CAD software for control systems.
  • Develop and implement control strategies through PLC programming, DCS programming, or SCADA systems.
  • Collaboration and Project Management:
  • Work closely with project managers, clients, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and budget-friendly project delivery.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Review and approve design documents, including specifications, calculations, and drawings.
  • Ensure all systems adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations such as ISA, IEC, and NEC.
  • Technical Support and Leadership:
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians, fostering knowledge-sharing and skill development.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in instrumentation and control technologies.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in instrumentation and control system design, implementation, and analysis. Experience with industrial processes and equipment such as pumps, motors, and valves is an advantage.
  • Technical

Skills:

Proficiency in CAD software for designing control systems. Expertise in PLC programming, DCS programming, or SCADA systems. Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.

  • Additional Qualifications: Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively.
