  • *Role Description**:

Our Toronto office is recruiting for a full-time position specializing in **multi-modal mega events mobility planning and operations** and **intelligent mobility systems**.

Our Intelligent Mobility Systems Group at Arcadis is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join us in delivering innovative solutions that address today’s transportation and mobility challenges. In this role, you’ll contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects, including **transit planning, traffic operations, multimodal transport strategies**, and **intelligent mobility systems**.

Join us if you are passionate about leveraging technology and strategic planning to improve transportation systems and create smarter, more sustainable cities. You’ll work with clients and stakeholders across Canada, the United States, and international regions, including Europe and Australia. You’ll also collaborate with leading transportation agencies in the Greater Toronto Hamilton Area and even further afield, gaining exposure to both small-scale projects and large, complex initiatives.

  • *Role accountabilities**:
  • Conduct **multi-modal mobility planning**, integrating shuttle services, transit, active transportation pathways, and traffic operations.
  • Research and develop strategies for **intelligent mobility systems**, including connected vehicles, transit optimization, and smart city technologies.
  • Prepare and deliver **functional specifications, strategic plans, and procurement documents**.
  • Develop operational, technological, and physical recommendations for transportation networks.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and clients to ensure project success.
  • Support business development efforts, including **proposal writing and client presentations**.
  • Prepare project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates.
  • Evaluate on-site conditions and document findings to inform project strategies.
  • Design and develop **interactive dashboards** to present traffic operations data, incorporating advanced visualization techniques.
  • Potential travel to client sites (if required)
  • *Qualifications & Experience**:
  • A degree in **Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or a related discipline**.
  • 1-2 years of experience in **transportation planning, traffic operations, multimodal mobility planning, and intelligent mobility systems projects for special events**.
  • Expertise in **transit planning, traffic operations, project management and coordination**.
  • Proficiency in **technical tools/software**, including:
  • **ArcGIS, Visum, EMME, Aimsun**:
  • **AutoCAD, SketchUp**:
  • Programming skills in **HTML, Java, MATLAB, Python**:
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
  • Experience working with transportation agencies or clients (e.g., provincial organizations, municipalities, transit authorities) is preferred.
