Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as an International Trade Compliance Analyst. The position will be located in Woodland Hills, CA; Linthicum, MD; or Rolling Meadows, IL office and offers the 9/80 schedule.

What You’ll Get To Do

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's International Trade Compliance organization, supporting the Navigation, Intelligence & Connectivity (NIC) division, working to ensure compliance with export laws and internal processes that support foreign policy and protect national security.

Responsibilities Include

• Develop and manage comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain and other business activities.

• Establish business processes for submitting to and obtaining from the US government all necessary export and import licenses, permits, certifications, and technology release determinations.

• Execute operational processes to ensure regulatory trade compliance through gate reviews of technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits and export and import shipments.

• Maintain applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements.

• Perform compliance assessments to support investigations involving potential instances of non-compliance.

• Support performance metrics for export processes.

• Collaborate with various functional areas to develop and implement appropriate authorization strategies to meet business requirements and ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.

• Determine and validate appropriate commodity jurisdiction and classification.

• Independently assess transactions and determine applicability of internal gate reviews, licenses, exceptions, and exemptions.

• Assist in the review of export/import clauses in Statements of Work and Non-Disclosure Agreements and provide recommendations regarding potential impact to business activity.

• Review and disposition public release requests.

• Assist in the development, revision, and implementation of trade compliance policies and procedures as necessary to support portfolio.

• Act as the prime contact on contracts or projects, internal working groups, and/or capture activities. Interact with senior internal and external personnel often requiring coordination between organizations.

• Exercise good judgment of when to seek management support and guidance as needed, including collaborating on decisions which have the potential to be high visibility or impactful.

• Develop and deliver presentations, including Export General Awareness training, program/function specific export training, lessons learned, and program/capture export licensing strategy updates to Division leadership.
