What You Do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Risk Infrastructure Support: Assist the Counterparty Credit Risk Infrastructure team with daily system maintenance and operational support
  • Project Contributions: Support ongoing projects related to risk systems, processes, or enhancements
  • Markets & Product Exposure: Gain hands-on exposure to Global Markets products and front-to-back risk workflows
  • Data & Technical Support: Help with basic programming, data handling, and analysis tasks to support risk monitoring and reporting

Who You Work With

Group Wholesale Credit Risk Management plays a critical role in identifying, assessing, and managing credit risks across wholesale banking and global markets activities. You’ll work with experienced risk professionals who partner closely with front office, middle office, and technology teams to ensure effective risk governance and resilient market operations.

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree
  • Interest in financial markets, risk management, or quantitative roles
  • Basic understanding of financial products and market concepts
  • Comfortable with general programming (e.g. Python, SQL, or similar)
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and willing to learn
  • Able to work well independently and within a team

Learning Objectives

This internship will provide you with:

  • Exposure to real business cases in counterparty credit risk management
  • Understanding of front-to-back operations of Global Markets products
  • Practical experience applying risk management concepts in financial markets
