My client is an international VC who focus on early stage tech investments. They are looking to hire an Investment Analyst / Associate to support both investment execution and research / portfolio initiatives.
This role offers broad exposure across the investment lifecycle, cross-border opportunities with other international offics, thematic research, and portfolio value creation.
Investment
- Support the end-to-end investment process including sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, and execution
- Build investment theses and sector perspectives to guide proactive deal sourcing
- Develop financial models, investment memos, and IC materials
- Participate in meetings with founders and support deal evaluation
Research & Portfolio / Strategic Projects
- Conduct deep-dive research on markets, sectors, and emerging technology trends
- Drive internal research projects to inform fund strategy and positioning
- Analyse portfolio performance and identify key insights or areas for value creation
- Support portfolio companies on strategic / operational initiatives where required
- Collaborate with HQ on cross-border research and investment themes
- Translate and summarise investment materials, reports, and presentations (Korean ↔ English)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with strong academic performance
- Professional fluency in Korean and English (spoken and written) is essential
- 2-5 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, consulting, or corporate development
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and generate insights
- Demonstrated interest in technology, startups, and venture investing
- Ability to operate independently in a lean, fast-paced, and geographically distributed team
