We are looking for an Investment Analyst to join our team in Hong Kong. This role will support investment and portfolio activities across Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Data Centre projects, with a strong focus on financial analysis, market research, and investment decision support.
The ideal candidate is analytical, commercially minded, and comfortable working across project-level and portfolio-level evaluations in a dynamic investment environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support investment analysis for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Data Centre opportunities.
- Build, maintain, and refine financial models to assess project performance, investment returns, and portfolio outcomes.
- Support performance optimisation initiatives through:
- BESS revenue forecasting, including market prices, ancillary services, and asset degradation assumptions.
- Portfolio-level revenue and return analysis across multiple assets.
- Interpretation of AI-generated insights to support investment decision-making (no programming required).
- Capital raise analysis, including valuation, scenario testing, and sensitivity analysis.
- Conduct market research , industry analysis, and benchmarking of comparable assets and transactions.
- Prepare presentations, reports, investment papers, and other materials for internal stakeholders and external parties.
- Work closely with the investment and finance teams on active projects, portfolio initiatives, and strategic assessments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Business , or a related field.
- Relevant experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, project finance, infrastructure, energy, private equity, or related fields .
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of valuation methodologies, scenario analysis, and return metrics.
- Strong research skills with the ability to synthesise market and commercial information into clear insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Interest in energy transition, infrastructure, digital infrastructure, and investment strategy is preferred.
Preferred Profile
- Exposure to renewable energy, BESS, power markets, infrastructure, or data centre investments would be an advantage.
- Prior experience supporting transactions, investment evaluations, or portfolio performance analysis is beneficial.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple workstreams.
