Investment Analyst | Tsugu Ventures | Handshake

Tsugu Ventures is part of the Tsugu founder office and is a specialist venture capital platform built around two thematic pillars: Play (video gaming) and Work (enterprise technology). We run a hybrid strategy, combining fund LP commitments with direct investments and co-investments within each pillar.

We are looking for a driven Analyst to join the Tsugu Ventures investment team in Los Angeles.

You will work closely across all active workstreams: deal sourcing (fund and direct/co-investments), full due diligence, investment committee preparation, and portfolio monitoring.

We have offices in Los Angeles, London and Zug. This role is based in Los Angeles with a hybrid set-up, and includes periodic travel across the U.S. and Europe.

Responsibilities:

• Sourcing, due diligence, selection and monitoring across fund and direct investments in both thematic areas (Play and Work)

• Conduct thematic research to develop and refine sharpen investment theses

• Evaluate, implement and refine data and technology infrastructure that support our investment process

What we’re looking for:

• Strong academic background in finance, economics, or a quantitative field

• 1 year+ experience in investment banking, private equity, venture, or similar

• Solid understanding of financial modelling and investment fundamentals

• Clear, structured thinker with strong communication skills

• Genuine passion for technology (enterprise) and/or gaming

• Strong interest in how AI is reshaping investment infrastructure and our workflows

• Proactive, curious, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

• Disciplined and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership
