About the Role

The Ascent division of U.S. Bank's Wealth Management Group provides exclusive services to ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients with net worths exceeding $75 million. We are looking for a tech-savvy Investment Associate (IA) with a strong background in wealth management or investment services. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, determined, and eager to grow within a high-performing team. The Investment Associate will work collaboratively with our investment team to maintain an investment discipline and ensure compliance for our fast-growing, multi-asset class business. Under the guidance of senior investment professionals, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Documenting investment policy statements
  • Conducting investment research and due diligence as needed
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance
  • Managing compliance and handling various projects as required

This position does not involve direct client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use AI and automation tools to enhance the efficiency of repetitive investment processes.
  • Exhibit advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications, demonstrating strong overall technological proficiency.
  • Maintain a keen eye for detail and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Support investment activities, including account openings, investment performance reporting, compliance assistance, and operational tasks to ensure a high-quality client experience.
  • Prepare and deliver timely client materials and reports as requested by the investment team.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years of experience in an investment role supporting UHNW clients, foundations, or endowments; family office experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with core asset classes, including equities, fixed income, private capital, and real assets.
  • Demonstrated interest in expanding investment knowledge and contributing to team success.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with flexibility to support varying team priorities.

Location: This role is based in Denver or Seattle and is hybrid, requiring at least three days in the office each week.

This position offers a salary range of $104,550.00 - $123,000.00, which may vary based on location. Additional benefits include a robust package of incentives, recognition programs, equity stock purchase options, 401(k) contributions, and pension plans (eligibility applies).
