Our Investment business unit is a key component of our consulting services and firmly established as a UK market leader. We currently advise on over ~£200 billion of assets for a diverse client base, providing full investment consulting services to DB pension trustees and sponsors across a wide variety of business and industry sectors, as well as local government pension schemes and other public sector clients.
We’re looking for an Investment Associate Consultant to provide high quality investment advice in a professional and efficient manner. As an Associate Consultant, you’ll support our lead Consultants on client teams, coordinating workflow, owning project management, and delivering pieces of advice from start to finish.
The role includes drafting client advice across a wide range of topics including investment strategy and structure, investment markets, risk management, asset managers, responsible investment and governance, as well as checking the work of investment analysts within your client teams.

What will your role look like?
You’ll work closely with our Investment Consultants to help deliver clear, practical advice to trustee (private sector and local government) and corporate clients, building trusted relationships and helping client teams run smoothly. You’ll combine strong technical capability with a collaborative approach — bringing structure, momentum and confidence to the work you deliver.
Though this is a varied role, your key tasks will include:
- Supporting Investment Consultants to provide advice to trustee (private sector and local government) and corporate clients on a wide range of issues
- Drafting standard and bespoke advice for review by consultants across a range of investment topics
- Delivering reports and advice to clients at meetings, where required
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients and other stakeholders
- Coordinating business-as-usual workflow and smaller projects across client teams
- Drafting annual budgets, monthly billing and scopes of work for clients
- Coaching and mentoring analysts within client teams and the wider investment team
- Contributing to business development and client prospecting activities
- Building the profile of the Investment team and Firm through networking and thought leadership
- Building strong links across the business to support cross-selling
- Adhering to core business and compliance requirements
- Participating in relevant training sessions and internal groups

- Relevant experience in investment consultancy, fund management or a related investment role
- A degree in a numerate discipline such as maths or economics (or equivalent)
- Strong IT skills, particularly across Microsoft Office
- An understanding of UK DB pension schemes, asset classes and legislative frameworks
- Commercial awareness of the pensions and employee benefits market
