As an Investment Banking Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions team based in Toronto, you'll be exposed to a wide variety of clients across various industry sectors that will provide you with the necessary skills to develop, grow and thrive in Investment Banking.

Job Description

How You Will Contribute:

• Research and analyze clients' financial situations, industry and market data, identify, research and analyze mergers and acquisition opportunities;

• Develop valuation models of individual private and public companies, as well as merged entities;

• Assist with transaction negotiations and documentation;

• Prepare external client proposals and internal memos;

• Prepare and contribute to the delivery of client presentations;

• Aid senior team members with idea generation;

• Manage and review the work of analysts; and

• Develop internal relationships in order to leverage products and services provided by TDBG.

Qualifications:

• Current or prior experience in Investment Banking (3+ years) with a large Canadian or Global Investment Bank;

• Possess a combination of strong financial/analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and be adept at financial modeling and valuation;

• Experience / demonstrated interest in M&A;

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment; and

• Currently has or willing to work towards SIE and Series 79 licenses within 4 months of hire.
