Energy Investment Banking Associate & VP | Elite Boutique – Houston
A leading Elite Boutique is expanding its Energy team in Houston at the Associate or VP level. This group is renowned for its industry expertise in the Energy sector and longstanding relations with top institutional investors and corporate.
This firm is noted for the extensive expertise and network of its senior advisors throughout the industry and has been closing a high level of deals annually despite recent volatile market conditions. It has also been well awarded for its Innovation within the North American Power industry
Job role:
- Supporting the senior advisors for the origination and execution of deals across the team’s product areas
- Execution of live deals through financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence in support
- Managing and mentoring the junior pool of Analysts in the team
- Acting as a relevant point of contact for relevant internal and external parties
- Drafting materials for marketing (Investment Memorandums, Rating Presentations and Pitch Books)
Requirements:
- At least 3+ years of relevant work experience from a tier 1 Investment Bank
- Bachelor’s degree, and/or an MBA from a top ranked institution preferably in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration or an equivalent area
- Experience in financial analysis, valuation, and due diligence for relevant projects
- Exposure to Energy sector
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a wider team
- Competency across Microsoft Office suite is needed
