2027 Investment Banking Summer Analyst – Industrials

Location: New York, NY (NY-300 Madison Ave., 8th Floor). This role is a 10‑week, temporary fixed‑term internship starting June 2027 to August 2027.

About Our Group

The Industrials Group at CIBC focuses on investment banking services for leading corporate and private equity clients in the capital goods, engineered products, diversified, mobility, aerospace, industrial services, and industrial technology sectors. The group operates worldwide across North America, Europe, and Asia, providing M&A, debt, equity, and risk‑hedging solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a summer analyst, you will support senior bankers with industry coverage, strategic advisory, and deal execution, collaborating across CIBC teams including CIBC Cleary Gull, Debt Capital Markets, and Equity Capital Markets.

Important Information

  • You must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program (Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines).
  • Expected graduation: December 2027 – June 2028.
  • Applications must include resume, up‑to‑date (unofficial) academic transcript, GPA, and expected graduation date.
  • All employees must reside within the United States; the internship is based in New York for the duration.
  • Duration: 10 weeks (June 2027 – August 2027).

  • Research & Analytics – Provide analytical, research, and presentation support.
  • Project Management – Lead transactions such as M&A, divestitures, equity & debt financings, and capital structure projects.
  • Relationship Management – Engage with clients and internal partners, gaining exposure across the firm.
