Role Overview
We are seeking a driven and analytical Investment Manager / Fund Manager to join our licensed platform in Hong Kong. This role focuses on portfolio management, investment execution, and client capital stewardship across managed accounts and fund structures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing investment ideas, managing portfolios, executing investment transactions, and delivering disciplined risk-adjusted returns. Key Responsibilities
1.Portfolio Management
- Manage discretionary portfolios, private fund vehicles, or managed account mandates across relevant asset classes.
- Construct, monitor, and rebalance investment portfolios in line with approved mandates, investment objectives, and risk parameters.
- Make allocation decisions based on market developments, macro trends, valuation opportunities, and portfolio strategy.
2.Investment Execution & Market Coverage
- Execute transactions across equities, fixed income products, ETFs, and other approved instruments.
- Monitor market conditions, liquidity, pricing movements, and trading opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with brokers, counterparties, and service providers where appropriate.
3.Investment Research & Strategy Development
- Conduct research on Hong Kong, U.S., and global capital markets.
- Perform company analysis, sector reviews, valuation assessments, and thematic research.
- Develop and refine investment strategies across equities, fixed income, multi-asset, or systematic approaches.
- Prepare investment memos, market commentary, and portfolio updates.
4.Risk Management & Governance
- Monitor portfolio exposures, liquidity, concentration levels, and relevant risk metrics.
- Ensure investment activities remain consistent with internal guidelines, client mandates, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Work closely with compliance, operations, and finance teams to maintain robust governance and control processes.
5.Stakeholder Communication
- Support reporting to management and clients regarding portfolio performance and market outlook.
- Contribute to new product initiatives and broader investment platform development.
Requirements
Professional Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in investment management, public markets investing, trading, or portfolio management.
- Hands-on experience managing portfolios, executing investment strategies, or discretionary mandates is preferred.
- Verifiable investment track record is an advantage.
Licensing & Technical Skills
- Eligibility for or existing status as a licensed representative for Type 1 and/or Type 9 regulated activities in Hong Kong is preferred.
- Strong understanding of listed financial instruments, including equities, fixed income products, ETFs, and derivatives.
- Solid knowledge of portfolio construction, risk management, and execution discipline.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills; familiarity with Bloomberg or market data platforms is an advantage.
