Job Summary

Join NEPC as an Investment Performance Associate this summer! Our Performance Reporting Group plays a vital role in supporting our Consulting business by delivering exceptional service to our clients. As a Performance Associate, you will gather and reconcile investment data and create comprehensive performance reports. These reports will provide our consultants and clients with crucial insights to assess investment performance and make informed decisions. In this pivotal role, you'll gain valuable experience in performance measurement, portfolio allocation, performance attribution, and evaluation of investment managers. We encourage ongoing professional development through programs like CIPM, CFA, or CAIA.

Responsibilities

  • Independently collect, enter, and reconcile investment data from custodian banks, investment managers, and other third parties.
  • Calculate, validate, and monitor client investment performance data, including review of reports.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in investment data and performance reports.
  • Deliver client-ready performance reports in a timely manner.
  • Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with leadership and consulting team members on client and firm-wide projects.

Job Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with strong communication and analytical skills, as this role relies heavily on data interpretation. Proficiency in Excel, along with excellent time management and organizational abilities, is essential. The ideal candidate is dependable, with strong verbal and written communication skills. This position is an excellent opportunity to kick-start your career in the investment field, building a solid foundation of knowledge. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Math, Economics, or Finance is strongly preferred, though degrees in Liberal Arts or Business are welcome.

Compensation: The base salary for this role ranges from $55,000 to $66,000 per year, depending on experience, education, certifications, and other relevant factors.
