Job Description: Investment & Strategy Manager
Location: Dubai, UAE
Reporting to: Chairman / Deputy Chairman / Group CEO
Role Purpose
To lead investment analysis, strategic planning, and portfolio management across the Group, providing data-driven recommendations on whether to pursue, reject, or restructure investment opportunities, while ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies (financial, operational, and market)
- Evaluate new business opportunities, joint ventures, and acquisitions
- Provide clear recommendations: Go / No-Go / Restructure
- Develop financial models including ROI, IRR, NPV
- Support the development of short and long-term business strategies
- Identify growth opportunities across sectors and markets
- Align investment decisions with the Group’s strategic direction
- Monitor and manage the performance of the Group’s investment portfolio
- Recommend portfolio diversification and asset reallocation
- Identify underperforming assets and propose corrective actions
- Work closely with Finance to assess cash flow, profitability, and capital allocation
- Establish KPIs and performance benchmarks for each investment
- Ensure disciplined investment tracking and reporting
- Identify financial, operational, and market risks
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and corporate governance standards
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership
- Present insights, reports, and recommendations to support decision-making
- Challenge assumptions and provide independent, objective analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
- MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is preferred
- Professional certifications such as CFA are a strong advantage
Experience
- 7–12 years of experience in investment, corporate strategy, or financial advisory
- Proven experience in feasibility studies and investment evaluation
- Strong exposure to UAE/GCC markets is preferred
