Our client is an expanding and well-established Regional Financial Services firm in Hong Kong. They are currently looking for an IT System Engineer, DevOps in order to expand their operation in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
- Work as a team to provide support to the Kubernetes (K8s) container platform to ensure a smooth IT delivery
- Architect, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for various applications, supporting deployment strategies such as canary releases, blue-green deployments, and rolling updates, including emergency rollbacks.
- Contribute to the continuous delivery and GitOps workflows, ensuring seamless, automated application deployments and updates across Kubernetes clusters.
- Manage a high level of the platform security through routine patching and managing the Container Image Vulnerability
- Manage and monitor service log collection and alerting systems
- Utilize leveraging tools (i.e. Prometheus and the ELK Stack) to provide visibility and proactively identify issues
- Working closing with IT development team to ensure a smooth software integrations and deployment processes
- Perform thorough root cause analysis and detailed reports on any production incidents
Requirements
- 5 years + experience in a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), DevOps role, Kubernetes, NGINX, Networking principles, Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, and Terraform.
- Solid and practical experience in Redhat OpenShift platform is a must.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in OpenShift / K8S platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash/Python).
- Good experience in system infrastructure, including database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), Windows/Linux platforms, virtualization platforms (e.g., KVM, Hyper-V), and container technology (Docker, Kubernetes).
- RHCE & MCSE Certification would be an advantage
- Knowledge of ISO 27001 standards would also be an advantage.
- Prior experience working in the Financial Services Industry would be highly preferable
