Jr. Credit Analyst

This role is on-site Monday-Friday 9am-6pm and is not eligible for remote work.

Who You Are:

We are looking for a Credit Analyst to join our team to help evaluate new applicants for financing. This role will report directly to the Credit Operations Manager.

What You Will Do:

• Oversight of systems involved in the credit scoring process
• Liaising with service providers
• Ensuring compliance with internal credit procedures
• Obtaining the correct application documents and information used in the credit scoring process.
• Financial analysis of businesses
• Credit vetting applicants through credit bureaus and recording of information
• Contacting parties involved in the applicant’s business operations and acquiring relevant information
• Data input into scoring models
• Compiling of credit reports to be sent to a credit committee
• Communication with the credit committee and acquisition of requested information
• Communicating final decisions on applications to sales staff
• Recording of information on internal system
• Liaising with the sales department and assisting with relevant queries
• Compiling of relevant data reports
• Discovery and introduction of additional tools used in credit decisions and other operations

What You Bring to the Table:

• Very good understanding and practical application of credit vetting processes and analyses
• Ability to build and evaluate credit models
• Financial analysis
• Credit and bad debt reporting
• Credit scoring
• Good attention to detail
• Good administration and organizational skills
• Good interpersonal skills – ability to liaise and build relationships with sales employees and clients
• Good written and verbal communication skills
