Junior Accounts Payable

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

Job Summary

The Junior Accounts Payable Clerk supports the finance team by processing invoices,

maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments to suppliers.

This role is ideal for someone starting their accounting career who is detail-oriented and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner

• Match purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes (3-way matching)

• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies

• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments

• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures

• Support audits by providing required documentation

Requirements & Skills

• Basic understanding of accounting principles

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good numerical and analytical skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or

similar)

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• On site 3 days a week

Qualifications

• A-levels, diploma, or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently

studying)

• Previous internship or entry-level experience in finance or accounting is a plus but

not required
