Junior Business Analyst | $5,000
We are looking for a proactive Junior Business Analyst with knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) who can also support Scrum Master responsibilities in an Agile environment. This role involves requirement analysis, documentation, and facilitating Agile ceremonies to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Support all phases of the SDLC (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment)
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and QA teams for requirement clarification
- Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and defect tracking
- Maintain proper documentation (BRD, FRD, process flows, etc.)
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Ensure the team adheres to Agile/Scrum practices and principles
- Remove blockers and impediments faced by the team
- Support Product Owner in backlog grooming and prioritization
- Track sprint progress and ensure timely delivery
- Promote collaboration and continuous improvement within the team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role
- Basic understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Excel, Visio
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
