Contract
IT Operations & Process Automation Analyst
Our client is a US-based company in the marketing and signage manufacturing space. They design and produce visual communication solutions at scale, supporting a wide range of commercial customers. As the team grows, so does their need for smart, efficient internal operations — and they're looking for someone who can help build them.
The Role
This isn't a traditional help desk position — it's something more interesting. You'll handle day-to-day IT support, but the real opportunity here is in the process improvement side of the role. You'll work with internal systems (including NetSuite for order and invoicing workflows), dig into spreadsheets and datasets, and — critically — look for patterns of inefficiency and do something about them.
If you're early in your career and you've already been tinkering with automation, building side projects, or questioning why people still do things manually — this role was written for you. You'll have real ownership of a growing scope, and the work you do will be visible and impactful.
Engagement Details
This is an initial 6-month contract with the option to renew. The engagement is fully remote, and you can be located anywhere in Latin America. You'll need to be available during Central Time business hours, and you'll need strong English communication skills (B2+ or higher) for this role.
Responsibilities
- Handle internal IT tickets effectively — triage, troubleshoot, and resolve requests to keep the team running smoothly.
- Support NetSuite workflows across orders, invoicing, and record updates (willing to learn NeatSuite).
- Work with spreadsheets and internal datasets to support business operations.
- Identify repetitive or manual tasks and proactively seek ways to automate or improve them.
Mandatory Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience: You're early in your career, but you've had real exposure to IT operations, information systems, data analytics, or a related field — whether through work experience, school projects, or your own initiative.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills: You can build and maintain complex spreadsheets, write formulas, and use them as real business tools — not just for basic data entry.
- Scripting aptitude or strong interest in learning: You have some exposure to Python, PowerShell, or another scripting language — or you've clearly demonstrated that you're actively building toward it (e.g. online courses, side projects, self-directed learning).
- Curiosity and initiative: You've shown a pattern of questioning inefficiency and doing something about it — whether that's a personal project, a process you improved at a previous job, or something you built just because you wanted to see if it could work better.
- Independent problem-solver: You're comfortable figuring things out on your own before asking for help, and you know how to work through ambiguous or under-defined problems.
- AI-curious and hands-on: You're genuinely interested in how AI tools can improve the way work gets done. You don't just read about them — you try them, experiment, and look for places to apply them in practical, meaningful ways.
Nice-to-Have
- NetSuite experience — familiarity with the platform is a plus, but we can teach you what you need to know.
- Background in IT, MIS, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience in manufacturing or operations-heavy environments.
What Success Looks Like
- Early on: You're handling tickets reliably and getting familiar with the systems and workflows.
- Mid-term: You've identified at least a few recurring pain points and have started building automations or process improvements around them.
- Long-term: You're a go-to resource for both IT operations and internal tooling — and you're actively shaping how the team works, not just supporting it.
