Our client seeks a junior data analyst to build and maintain operational dashboards in Grafana that support DAA infrastructure, RPD activation workflows, and telemetry from vCMTS devices. The role focuses on data visualization, query authoring across MongoDB aggregation pipelines and SQL systems, and clear documentation. You will collaborate with a senior lead, translate business requirements into usable dashboards, and troubleshoot data issues. Curiosity, problem solving, and comfort with structured data will be important.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and improve Grafana dashboards used by operations and engineering teams.
  • Write and optimize queries for MongoDB aggregation pipelines and SQL-based data stores such as StarTree Pinot.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, usable dashboard visualizations.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and dashboard behavior.
  • Advise on data structure improvements to support better reporting.
  • Document dashboard designs, query logic, and data models.

Experience Requirements

  • Foundational understanding of computer science concepts including data structures, logic, and system interactions.
  • Experience writing SQL or a similar language.
  • Comfort working with structured data formats such as JSON and CSV.
  • Basic understanding of databases including querying, data organization, and joins.
  • Ability to read and reason about code.
  • Strong problem-solving approach.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to understand underlying causes.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Coachable with the ability to apply feedback.
  • Attention to detail to ensure data accuracy.
  • Exposure to Grafana or BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI (preferred).
  • Familiarity with MongoDB or NoSQL databases (preferred).
  • Familiarity with time-series or streaming data such as Kafka or PromQL (preferred).
  • Exposure to JSON manipulation or data transformation scripting in Python or JavaScript (preferred).
  • Comfort working in a telecom or infrastructure operations environment (preferred).
  • Interest in network technology or cable/broadband systems (preferred).
  • Experience presenting data or insights to non-technical audiences (preferred).

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
