We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will assist in designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and components across various projects. Duties

  • Support the design and development of electrical systems using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
  • Assist in schematic creation and PCB layout for electronic circuits utilizing tools like Altium Designer or similar CAD software.
  • Contribute to system design and integration involving FPGA programming, SystemVerilog, ARM microcontrollers, and SoC (System on Chip) architectures.
  • Perform root cause analysis on electrical issues by debugging circuits with tools such as ohmmeters and oscilloscopes; troubleshoot firmware using languages like C++, Python, MATLAB, Perl, and Scripting.
  • Participate in project scheduling activities to ensure timely completion of deliverables while maintaining quality standards.
  • Support manufacturing processes by understanding surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and surface mount component placement.
  • Conduct signal processing analysis and assist in the development of vision inspection systems for quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers on system design aspects involving mechanical knowledge and integration with electrical components.
  • Assist in documentation of schematics, technical specifications, and system testing procedures aligned with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Fundamental understanding of electrical systems design, circuit schematics, and CAD software such as AutoCAD or Revit.
  • Basic experience with FPGA development environments and hardware description languages like SystemVerilog or VHDL.
  • Familiarity with PCB layout design, surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of programming languages including C++, Python, MATLAB, Perl or similar scripting languages for firmware development and automation tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as ohmmeters or oscilloscopes; ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to system integration or mechanical engineering principles is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to learning new technologies like quantum engineering or programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
