2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsDirect message the job poster from Carbon60Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services are a leading aviation engineering company that focus on the maintenance, repair and overhaul of landing gear.About the RoleResponsibilitiesTo create and produce manufacturing work instructions and documentation, i.e. How tooling should be used in production, critical checks – based on tooling manufacturing designs developed within the departmentCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, IT, tooling, supply chain, maintenance to ensure successful project implementation.With liaison with the rest of the technical team, investigate and develop new processes, methods, and layouts to increase equipment flexibility and improve throughput, within the OEM standard requirementsIdentifying process waste and proposing solutionsAssist senior manufacturing engineers with project tasks to optimize workflow, manage resources, and ensure timely completion.Supporting the TPM (M), investigate non-conformities and within the matric environment to alter tooling and or process until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition is corrected.Analysing and reporting on production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, availability of machines and waste managementProvide valuable insights through KPI collection to help optimize efficiency and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.Coordinating maintenance and repair services to keep production equipment operationalSupporting the TPM (M) with structured problem solving projects linked to both project deliverables and day-to-day manufacturing issuesBe compliant with the Company's Environmental, Health & Safety and Energy proceduresDevelopment of master data for tooling and equipment control in our SAP Computer systemConduct time and motion studies, workflow analysis, line balancing, capacity analysis and process mapping to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.QualificationsMinimum qualification HND in a mechanical discipline, with significant CAD experience;Higher qualification considered if able to demonstrate genuine interest in pursuing tool design.Training in Lean manufacturing, Continuous improvement, and Statistical Process Control would be beneficial.Preferred SkillsPersonal QualitiesExcellent communication skills, with the ability to distil technical information for both a technical and non-technical audienceAn approachable team player, who proven to work in a matrix environmentHighly Innovative, analytical, decisive, multi-tasked, and goal oriented individual is required with the ability to manage time and resourcesExperience and KnowledgeProven experience of creating and producing manufacturing work instructions and documentation, i.e. How tooling should be used in production, critical checks / inspection regimesAbility to read engineering drawings and basic metrology skillsAbility to understand the mechanical aspects of manufacturing processesAbility to communicate with both production staff and process engineering to understand requirements and its useExperience in a metal component processing, including surface finishing operations for Aerospace components.Excellent IT knowledge (Understanding of MRP & ERP / MS Office products / CAD software - SolidWorks preferable)High analysis, trouble shooting and problem solving skillsImprove data gathering and analysis by leveraging digital systems and automation tools to enhance decision-making and drive process improvements.Evaluate and implement automation technologies to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce cycle times, and improve product consistency.Pay scale:Up to £30,000 per annum.Equal Opportunity StatementLufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services is an equal opportunities employer.Seniority level Seniority level Not ApplicableEmployment type Employment type Full-timeJob function Job function Manufacturing, Engineering, and AnalystIndustries Aviation and Aerospace Component ManufacturingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Carbon60 by 2xSign in to set job alerts for "Process Automation Engineer" roles.
