Position Summary

ZenaTech is seeking a Junior Process Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automation solutions that streamline workflows across finance, operations, compliance, and product teams. In this role, you will leverage APIs, scripting, and internal platforms to eliminate manual processes, improve data flow, and increase operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain automation scripts and pipelines using Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
  • Integrate internal systems and third-party APIs (REST, webhooks, OAuth) to enable seamless data flows
  • Automate document generation, reporting, and data extraction processes
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and validate solutions
  • Implement logging, error handling, and monitoring for production automation workflows
  • Contribute to the automation and enhancement of ZenaTech’s internal platforms (e.g., ZTO, ZenaBooks, SEC reporting tools)
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention across systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript)
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and common integration patterns
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic software development practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently debug and troubleshoot issues

Nice to Have

  • Experience with workflow automation platforms (e.g., n8n, Zapier, Make/Integromat, Airflow)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including serverless architectures
  • Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases for data storage and retrieval
  • Experience integrating or working with enterprise tools such as QuickBooks, Salesforce, or ERP systems
