Our client is offering an exceptional opportunity for motivated individuals to join their Apprenticeship program as a Junior Robotics Technician in **San Diego, California**. This is a paid, hands-on learning experience designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the field of robotics and automation. You will work alongside experienced technicians and engineers, gaining practical experience in the assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of robotic systems. This program provides a structured pathway for career development, combining on-the-job training with relevant coursework. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, possesses strong mechanical aptitude, and has a keen interest in technology and innovation.

This apprenticeship will cover:

Understanding of robotic system components, including actuators, sensors, and controllers. Safe operation and maintenance procedures for various robotic platforms. Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques. Assisting with the assembly and installation of robotic cells and automated systems. Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks. Diagnosing and repairing faults in robotic systems and associated equipment. Learning programming logic for industrial robots and PLCs. Working with safety systems and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Documenting work performed, including maintenance logs and repair reports. Collaborating with engineering teams to implement system upgrades and modifications. Developing proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment. Understanding of industrial automation principles and concepts. Participating in team meetings and contributing to process improvement initiatives. Adhering to company policies and quality standards.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. A genuine interest in robotics, automation, and technology. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions. Good communication skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Basic understanding of electrical or mechanical principles is a plus. Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
