Junior Trader – Proprietary Trading Firm (Chicago Suburbs | On‑site | Overnight Hours)

A proprietary trading firm in the Chicago area is seeking an ambitious Junior Trader with a strong interest in finance and global markets. This role offers the opportunity to learn directly from experienced senior traders within a growing firm. The ideal candidate is analytical, disciplined, and eager to develop trading expertise across a variety of futures markets using both algorithmic and discretionary strategies.

Must meet all requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree

• Chicagoland residency

• U.S. work authorization (no sponsorship)

Role Highlights

• Operate trading systems and algorithmic models

• Make fast, data‑driven decisions

• Monitor risk and communicate with exchanges/brokers

• Conduct market research and support reporting

• Perform reconciliation and operational tasks

• On‑site Monday–Friday

Qualifications

• Overnight availability (Asian/European hours)

• Strong math and analytical skills

• Excel/Microsoft Office proficiency

• Professional, punctual, team‑oriented

• Preferred: statistics, Python, SQL, or finance exposure
