About the Opportunity
Our client is a well‑established, privately owned financial advisory and investment firm with a long-standing international presence. Known for its entrepreneurial culture and steady growth, the firm advises business owners, high‑net‑worth individuals, and family offices across multiple regions.
As part of ongoing expansion, they are looking to bring on a Junior Trading Analyst to support the trading function and work closely with traders, portfolio managers, relationship managers, and operations teams.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys a fast‑paced environment and is keen to build strong exposure across trading operations and portfolio activities.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide day‑to‑day support to the trading team and assist in ensuring efficient and compliant trade execution. Key responsibilities include:
- Gaining a strong understanding of internal trading workflows and supporting daily trading activities
- Conducting pre‑trade checks to ensure orders comply with regulatory requirements and internal controls
- Assisting traders with execution across multiple asset classes and markets
- Maintaining accurate trade orders and allocations, and coordinating smoothly between front, middle, and back office
- Responding to client‑related queries on trades, cash movements, and account status
- Supporting Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers with portfolio‑related processes
- Following up with operations teams on the full trade lifecycle, including settlement and reconciliation
- Liaising with local and overseas internal teams to handle ad‑hoc requests
- Contributing to system enhancements, process improvements, and cross‑functional projects
- Developing or supporting automated checks to identify and resolve trade or data discrepancies
Requirements & Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
(STEM‑related backgrounds are advantageous)
- 1-3 years of relevant experience within a financial institution
(strong fresh graduates with relevant exposure will also be considered)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with high attention to detail
- Ability to perform under pressure in a deadline‑driven trading environment
- Clear and professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical skills such as Excel (including VBA), SQL, or Python are a plus
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are advantageous
