 Job Summary:

We are seeking a Kakao & Influencer Marketing Specialist to support and execute our social and influencer strategy focused on the Korean market, with a strong emphasis on KakaoTalk channel management and local influencer partnerships.

In this role you will be responsible for driving brand awareness, engagement, and community growth through KakaoTalk marketing and influencer activations tailored to the Korean audience. We are looking for a hands-on executor who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the Korean digital landscape, and can translate local market insights into impactful campaigns.

In this role you will be collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders internally, as well as external agency and creator partners in the Korea market.

 

Job Expectations:

      Execute social media and influencer marketing strategies for the Korea market in alignment with regional and global brand objectives

      Manage and grow iHerb's KakaoTalk channel and social media presence in Korea, including content planning, community management, and audience engagement

      Develop and maintain KakaoTalk channel strategies, open chat and friend lists, and messaging cadences to drive customer retention and conversion

      Identify, vet, and onboard local influencers across relevant tiers (macro, mid, micro, affiliate) suited to the Korea market

      Coordinate end-to-end influencer campaign execution including briefing, content review, posting schedules, and performance tracking

      Support the development of localized content that resonates with Korean audiences while maintaining global brand consistency

      Monitor campaign performance and compile regular reporting on key metrics including reach, engagement, conversion, and ROI

      Translate analytics and performance data into actionable insights and optimization recommendations

      Partner with internal teams including Paid media, Global marketing, and Creative to support integrated campaign execution

      Stay current on Korean social media trends, platform updates, and emerging creator and messaging channel opportunities

      Support agency partners operating in the Korea market, ensuring alignment with campaign goals and brand standards

      Assist in identifying growth opportunities and provide market-level input to support broader APAC strategy

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:

      Hands-on experience executing social media and/or influencer marketing campaigns, ideally with Korea market focus

      Working knowledge of KakaoTalk channel and best practices for brand marketing

      Strong understanding of the Korean social media ecosystem, including relevant local platforms and content trends

      Experience coordinating with influencers or creator partners, including outreach, briefing, and performance tracking

      Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with comfort using data to measure campaign performance and identify optimization opportunities

      Strong written and verbal communication skills

      Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally across time zones

      Passion for social media, influencer culture, and the health and wellness category

      This role is based in Seoul, South Korea (Hybrid)

      Fluent in Korean required; English proficiency is a nice-to-have

 

Experience Requirements:

Generally requires a minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in social media and/or influencer marketing, with preference for candidates with experience in the Korean or broader APAC market.

 

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent professional experience required.
