L/S Analyst, Technology & Consumer

A highly regarded, fundamentals-driven investment firm is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its Long/Short Equity team, with a focus on both the Technology and Consumer sectors. The team is known for its deep research orientation, collaborative culture, and disciplined approach to generating differentiated investment insights across public markets.

This is an opportunity to work closely with senior investors, contribute directly to idea generation, and gain exposure to both long and short positions across a broad range of subsectors, including software, internet, semiconductors, fintech, e-commerce, digital consumer platforms, and branded consumer businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct deep fundamental research on public companies across Technology and Consumer
• Build and maintain detailed financial models (3-statement, DCF, comps)
• Generate and pitch long and short investment ideas
• Analyze industry trends, competitive dynamics, and company positioning
• Monitor portfolio positions and provide ongoing updates to the investment team
• Engage with management teams, industry experts, and alternative data sources

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 1–4 years of experience in Private Equity or Public Equities
• Strong interest in public market investing, particularly long/short strategies
• Deep curiosity for Technology and Consumer sectors (software, AI, internet, e-commerce, consumer brands, etc.)
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills
• Demonstrated ability to think independently and develop differentiated views
• High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
