OVERALL SUMMARY
This position is responsible for leading and delivering EPS’s enterprise data and AI initiatives across the organisation, overseeing end-to-end execution from data foundations and Power BI model development to the implementation of AI-enabled tools and copilots for business users.
The role provides hands-on technical leadership by setting direction, reviewing deliverables, ensuring quality standards, mentoring junior analysts, and coordinating with application teams, business stakeholders, and external partners. This is a hands-on leadership role with direct involvement in technical delivery rather than a purely managerial function.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Data & Analytics Leadership

- Lead the design and delivery of enterprise analytics solutions, including Power BI datasets, semantic models, and dashboards
- Define and enforce data modelling, data quality, and reporting standards
- Review and approve data pipelines, transformations, and analytical outputs
- AI & Advanced Analytics Delivery
- Lead the delivery and operationalisation of AI‑enabled solutions (copilots, data assistants, predictive models, automation)
- Translate business problems into AI and analytics use cases with measurable outcomes
- Validate AI outputs and ensure solutions are reliable, explainable, and production‑ready
- Power BI & Self‑Service Enablement
- Lead the Power BI adoption, including workspace design, dataset reuse, performance optimisation, and governance.
- Enable business teams to adopt self‑service analytics, while maintaining central quality and control
- Prepare the data estate for Power BI Copilot and AI‑assisted analytics
- Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to AI Data Analysts
- Set delivery priorities, review outputs, and unblock complex technical issues
- Uplift team capability in analytics, AI tools, and modern data practices
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Act as the technical counterpart to business stakeholders, translating needs into execution plans
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure delivery quality, timelines, and outcomes
- Provide clear, data‑driven updates on progress, risks, and value delivered
QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- 5 -10 years’ experience in data analytics, BI, or AI‑related roles, with at least 2-3 years in a lead or senior role.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI (datasets, DAX, performance optimisation, governance).
- Solid experience in data integration, data modelling, and analytics platforms.
