Job Description

Our client, a cutting-edge AI research lab, is seeking an exceptional Lead AI Research Scientist to join their fully remote team. This is a unique opportunity to pioneer advancements in artificial intelligence and shape the future of the field. You will lead research initiatives, develop novel algorithms, and publish groundbreaking work in areas such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, or computer vision. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field, a strong publication record in top-tier AI conferences and journals, and extensive experience in leading research projects. This role is crucial for driving innovation and pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AI.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and conduct high-impact research in artificial intelligence, focusing on areas like deep learning, reinforcement learning, generative models, or AI ethics. Develop and implement novel AI algorithms and models to solve complex real-world problems. Design and execute rigorous experiments to validate research hypotheses and measure performance. Collaborate with a team of world-class researchers and engineers to achieve research objectives. Publish research findings in leading AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ACL) and journals. Present research at internal and external forums, contributing to the scientific community. Mentor junior researchers and guide their technical development. Stay at the forefront of AI research by continuously exploring new literature, techniques, and tools. Contribute to the development of intellectual property, including patents and proprietary technologies. Work closely with engineering teams to transition research prototypes into production-ready systems. Define research roadmaps and strategic directions for key AI initiatives. Contribute to the development of secure and ethical AI systems.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related field. Proven track record of significant contributions to AI research, evidenced by publications in top-tier conferences and journals. Extensive experience (typically 7+ years post-Ph.D.) in conducting independent research and leading research projects. Deep understanding of machine learning principles, algorithms, and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). Expertise in at least one major AI subfield (e.g., deep learning, NLP, computer vision, reinforcement learning). Strong programming skills in Python and experience with relevant libraries. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities. Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, collaborative research environment. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing is a plus.
