Job Description

Title: AIS Engineer

Location: SFO, CA (1-2 day onsite/Week)

Technical Leadership:

Provide leadership in the design and architecture of ESB-based solutions

Ensure that ESB solutions align with enterprise architecture and technical standards

Coordinate with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication across business and technical teams. Understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for integration solutions

Ensure that the integration solutions meet business needs and deliver the expected value.

Define delivery milestones and manage project timelines to meet deadlines.

Conduct regular meetings and provide updates on progress, risks, and changes to relevant stakeholders

Lead troubleshooting efforts during critical incidents and ensure minimal disruption to business operations

Drive continuous improvement in ESB delivery processes and integration practices

Manage vendor relationships, where necessary, to ensure effective and timely delivery

Proven experience in managing complex integration projects using methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall

Ability to lead and work within cross-functional teams to meet objectives

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, both onshore and offshore.

Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices in integration and cloud computing.

Onsite Leadership:

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for onsite clients and stakeholders.

Lead and manage a hybrid onsite-offshore development team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Resolve technical issues and provide timely solutions to critical problems.

Conduct regular reviews and provide feedback on team performance and project deliverables.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

12+ year of overall experience, with proven experience in leading enterprise application integration teams, with a strong focus on the retail industry.

In-depth knowledge of integration patterns, API design, and data modeling.

Good knowledge on Azure Integration Services (AIS), Confluent Kafka.

Strong understanding of Scrum based delivery

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
