About the Team

The Finance Analytics team serves as a crucial link between data engineering, data science, and business analytics. We build scalable, impactful data solutions that empower stakeholders in Finance, Accounting, and Treasury to make informed, data-driven decisions. Our role involves ensuring that our data models, pipelines, and certified financial datasets adhere to the strict requirements of a regulated environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Become an Expert: Quickly gain deep knowledge in specific business areas and data domains, understanding data flows from creation to delivery. Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to develop impactful data pipelines.
  • Drive Business Value: Interface with stakeholders to maximize data utility, building curated data models that streamline processes and support financial teams.
  • Focus on Outcomes: Assess the best tools and frameworks for delivering value, and create abstractions to enhance data workflows.
  • Ensure Financial Accuracy: Implement strong data quality measures and enhance operational reliability for critical pipelines.

What We Look For:

  • Strong expertise in designing modular data models and curated datasets.
  • Proficiency in advanced SQL techniques, alongside experience in automation and object-oriented programming.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in business terms and manage projects effectively across teams.
  • Experience in building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using modern tools like dbt and Airflow.
  • Expertise in creating polished dashboards using tools like Looker or Tableau.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks in production settings.
  • Keen understanding of business challenges represented through analytics engineering.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools and practices for improving efficiency, quality, and measurable outputs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial reconciliation and regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of event-driven systems and real-time data validation.
  • Experience in fintech or crypto domains.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $180,370-$212,200 USD annually, with potential equity and bonus eligibility. We are committed to equal opportunity and welcome all qualified applicants.

The location for this role is at Coinbase's New York City office, with occasional remote flexibility for stakeholder meetings and project work.
