Lead Applied Scientist

A company is looking for a Lead Applied Scientist to lead the research, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning and AI systems in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the research, design, and deployment of machine learning and AI systems in production environments

Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies to identify opportunities for new products and capabilities

Partner with stakeholders to translate AI capabilities into scalable solutions that improve healthcare operations

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field

5+ years of hands-on industry experience with Machine Learning, Predictive Modeling, or Generative / Agentic AI

1-2 years of hands-on experience with Generative AI and agent development

Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

Experience in building evaluation pipelines for AI performance metrics
