Our client, a pioneering force in the automotive industry, is seeking a Lead Automotive Systems Engineer to spearhead critical development projects in Seattle, Washington, US . This role requires a visionary leader with a comprehensive understanding of automotive systems, from initial concept to production. You will be instrumental in defining system architectures, ensuring seamless integration of various components, and optimizing performance, safety, and efficiency across a range of next-generation vehicles. The Lead Engineer will guide a team of talented engineers, providing technical direction, mentorship, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Responsibilities include managing project timelines, allocating resources effectively, and collaborating closely with design, manufacturing, and testing departments. You will be responsible for developing and implementing robust validation and verification plans, utilizing state-of-the-art simulation tools and physical testing methodologies. A strong grasp of automotive standards (e.g., ISO 26262 for functional safety), CAN bus communication protocols, and embedded systems development is paramount. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential technical challenges. Experience with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), electric vehicle (EV) powertrains, or autonomous driving technologies is highly advantageous. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, coupled with at least 7-10 years of progressive experience in automotive engineering, is required.
