You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, safety, and reliability of state-of-the-art aircraft systems throughout their development and operational phases. Key Responsibilities: Lead the systems engineering efforts for new aircraft development programs, from concept to certification. Define system requirements, architecture, and interfaces for avionics, flight control, and other aircraft subsystems. Oversee the integration of hardware and software components, ensuring seamless system operation. Develop and execute comprehensive system test plans, verification, and validation strategies. Manage system requirements traceability and ensure compliance with aviation standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754). Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and testing departments. Perform trade studies and technical assessments to support design decisions and risk mitigation. Conduct system safety analyses and hazard assessments. Prepare and present technical documentation and reports to program management and regulatory authorities. Mentor and guide junior systems engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence. Qualifications: Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 12+ years of experience in aviation systems engineering, with a focus on aircraft development. Demonstrated experience with full system lifecycle management in an aerospace context. In-depth knowledge of avionics systems, flight control systems, and communication/navigation systems. Expertise in systems engineering tools and methodologies (e.g., MBSE, SysML, requirement management tools like DOORS). Strong understanding of airworthiness certification processes and regulations (FAA, EASA). Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
