Lead Data Engineer/ Data Architect - Top Hong Kong Listed Company

Your New Role

You will lead the design and development of scalable data platforms on Azure, working closely with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines (batch, streaming, CDC) using Azure and Databricks
• Develop Lakehouse solutions (Delta Lake, medallion architecture)
• Integrate data from enterprise systems, APIs, and external sources
• Optimize performance, reliability, and data quality
• Implement CI/CD and DataOps practices using Azure DevOps / GitHub
• Support governance, security, and cloud best practices
• Leverage AI tools to improve development productivity and code quality

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline
• 8+ years of data engineering experience
• Strong hands-on experience with: Azure Data Platform (ADF, Databricks, Synapse, ADLS), Python / PySpark / SQL
• Proven track record in building large-scale data pipelines and Lakehouse/data warehouse solutions
• Experience with structured and unstructured data, plus BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Familiarity with NoSQL and streaming technologies is an advantage
