Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Systems to join their innovative team in Fort Worth, Texas, US . This hybrid role offers a dynamic work environment where you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge electrical power solutions. You will be responsible for leading complex projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of electrical power systems, including schematics, component selection, and system integration. Perform detailed electrical calculations, simulations, and analysis for power distribution, protection, and control systems. Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to testing, commissioning, and support. Mentor and guide a team of electrical engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering professional development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and user manuals. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NEC). Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues encountered during design, manufacturing, or field operations. Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and electrical engineering best practices. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in electrical power systems engineering.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a significant focus on power systems design and analysis. Proven experience in a lead or supervisory role, mentoring junior engineers. Strong knowledge of power electronics, motor drives, power distribution, and protection systems. Proficiency in electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and simulation tools (e.g., PSpice, ETAP). Experience with various testing and measurement equipment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a hybrid work setting. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and safety regulations. This position requires a candidate who is comfortable working part of the week on-site at our Fort Worth, Texas, US facility and part of the week remotely.
