Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Systems to join their innovative team in Atlanta, Georgia, US . This leadership role will involve designing, developing, and implementing complex electrical systems for a variety of cutting-edge projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power generation, distribution, and control systems, with proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing projects from concept to completion. You will be responsible for technical direction, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the highest standards of design and execution.

Responsibilities include:

Leading the design and development of electrical power systems, including substations, distribution networks, and renewable energy integration. Developing detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and specifications. Performing power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis. Managing engineering projects, including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Providing technical leadership and guidance to a team of electrical engineers and designers. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, civil engineers, and project managers. Ensuring designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEEE). Troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical system issues during design, construction, and commissioning phases. Evaluating and selecting appropriate electrical equipment and components. Staying abreast of new technologies and industry trends in power systems engineering. The successful candidate must possess excellent problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is required, along with significant relevant professional experience. P.E. license is a plus. This hybrid role requires a commitment to collaborating effectively with team members both in the office and remotely, contributing to a productive and innovative work environment.
