Our client, a renowned leader in renewable energy solutions, is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Chicago, Illinois, US . This is a critical role responsible for the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge power systems for our innovative projects. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in electrical engineering principles, a strong understanding of power electronics, and a passion for sustainable energy technologies. You will lead a team of engineers, mentor junior staff, and drive technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of complex electrical systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and component selection. Perform detailed analysis and simulations of power systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety. Oversee the integration of electrical components and systems into larger project designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution. Develop and implement testing procedures and protocols to validate system performance. Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues encountered during design, manufacturing, and field deployment. Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers, fostering their technical growth and development. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in electrical engineering and power systems technology, recommending innovative solutions. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations. Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a specialization in power systems design. Proven experience leading engineering teams and projects. In-depth knowledge of power electronics, AC/DC conversion, motor control, and renewable energy systems. Proficiency in electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer) and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PSPICE). Strong understanding of grid integration and energy storage technologies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Experience with international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) is a plus. Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
