Are you an experienced Electronics Engineer with a passion for precision systems and team leadership? This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of advanced electronic platforms, working on highly sensitive, low-noise instrumentation at the cutting edge of technology.

You’ll head up a multidisciplinary team, driving the design, integration, and optimisation of complex electronic systems from concept through to prototype and testing.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and managing a team of engineers developing high-precision, low-noise electronic systems
  • Designing and optimising analogue circuits, including low-noise amplifiers and signal chains
  • Integrating electronic and mechanical systems into complex platforms
  • Supporting lab automation through electronic and electromechanical solutions
  • Driving cross-functional collaboration across electronics, mechanical, and software teams
  • Improving performance through noise reduction, shielding, and signal integrity techniques
  • Implementing signal processing approaches to enhance system performance
  • Conducting circuit simulation and modelling (e.g. SPICE tools)
  • Producing technical documentation, specifications, and reports
  • Working with external partners on PCB design, fabrication, and testing
  • Staying up to date with advancements in precision electronics and sensing technologies

What we’re looking for

  • MSc or PhD in Electronics / Electrical Engineering
  • Strong experience in analogue electronics, particularly low-noise design and instrumentation systems
  • Proven experience with PCB design tools (Altium, Cadence, Allegro, etc.) and multilayer board design
  • Deep understanding of signal integrity, grounding, shielding, and noise mitigation
  • Hands-on experience with testing and debugging electronic systems (oscilloscopes, analysers, etc.)
  • Experience across the full lifecycle: design ? simulation ? prototype ? test ? integration
  • Programming experience (C, C++, Python) for test and hardware bring-up
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with analogue or mixed-signal ASIC design
  • Knowledge of embedded systems / microcontrollers
  • Background in life sciences instrumentation or medical devices

Why apply?

  • Lead development of cutting-edge, high-precision electronic systems
  • Work in a multidisciplinary, highly innovative environment
  • Take ownership across the full product development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on complex challenges
  • Excellent opportunity for technical leadership and career progression
